Chris M. Mayer
A long time programmer, Chris Mayer wrote his first game in 1976 on an Altair 8800 and SWTPC 6800 which places him in a rather small group of people. Chris has worked on digital logic design for multiprocessing mainframes, automated chip placement software for circuit boards, moved into the fields of pattern recognition, adaptive learning, data gathering and analysis software, did some systems hardware design (Z80 based) then made his move closer to the game industry by writing VESA video drivers and high performance demos for Chips and Technologies.
His first big stint was at Electronic Arts on DeluxePaint 2.4 Enhanced (PC), Studio 8 (PC) and moved up to become a Technical Director at EA. After this period he finally moved directly into the game industry and worked at Rocket Science, P.F. Magic, Press Start, 3DO, 5000 Ft and Crystal Dynamics.
He is currently working at a start up in the Bay Area.
