A living legend in his own right, George Lucas is the brains behind the likes of the legendary Star Wars films (including the prequels), the THX sound standard, the Indiana Jones series and a host of other important landmarks in the film industry. Renowned for revolutionizing movie special effects as we know them via his effects company Industrial Light and Magic, George Lucas is still active in the film industry.

Lucas's own film company, Lucasfilm, has spawned the famous interactive game company LucasArts, which is responsible for several gaming landmarks, including a famous line of adventure games (including Loom, the Monkey Island series and Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis) and a host of games based on Star Wars. While Lucas is only rarely directly involved with the games, he has been given a "Special Thanks" credit in every LucasArts title released since 1984.
