Michael York (born Michael York Johnson, 27 March 1942) is an English actor. His movie career began with appearances in Franco Zeffirelli's film conversions of the Shakespeare plays The Taming of the Shrew (1967) and Romeo and Juliet. He was cast in main roles in the movies Cabaret (1972), The Three Musketeers (1973), and many others.
In the video game world, York is best known for his live-action role as J. Saint Gideon in Tex Murphy: Overseer (1998).
