Developer Biography

Ben Gamble made his San Antonio theatre debut with the Church Bistro & Theatre's 2006 summer production of Forever Plaid, which won 10 Alamo Theatre Arts Council (ATAC) Globe Awards, including for Supporting Actor in a Musical (Ben Gamble). Since then, he has been seen in four other San Antonio stage plays, including The Underpants (Theo), You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Charlie Brown), Songs for a New World, and Gone to Texas (William Barrett Travis). His theatre background spans more than 16 years in professional and educational theatre.

Ben's other stage credits include such productions as Bye Bye Birdie, Oklahoma!, South Pacific, Annie Get Your Gun, The Bald Soprano, Finger Food, A Flea in Her Ear, Noises Off, Man of La Mancha, Crazy For You, Julius Caesar, The Dressmaker, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Antigone, Damn Yankees, Phantom, Forever Plaid, Annie, Much Ado About Nothing, 42nd Street, and others. He has also worked as a hired singer at Italian restaurants and performed voice-over work on several projects including Activision'sCasino and the THQ game SpongeBob Squarepants: Employee of the Month.

Ben is currently the Cultural Arts Associate at the Barshop Jewish Community Center here in San Antonio, where he manages the Dance Academy and Theatre Academy programs. He also operates the NOVA Theatre Troupe, for children grades 1-4. His involvement allows him to teach acting and theatre to children ages 5 to 18 as well as teach private singing and acting lessons to all ages. Thus, the Studio was born. Major Achievements and Awards in the Arts: ATAC Globe Award for Excellence: Supporting Actor in a Musical (2006), National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts, National Society of Arts and Letters, National Association of Teachers of Singing, National Library of Poetry, Florida Motion Picture and Television Association.
