Patrick was raised in Charleston Mississippi, and educated at the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. He finished out his higher education at Mississippi State and relocated immediately because no video games industry opportunities existed there at the time.
On Brian Green's suggestion, Patrick and a fellow dreamer, Warren Henderson made the move to Austin Texas where they found gainful employment at Aspyr Media, the traditional way... Temporary Quality Assurance testers.
Through incredible fortune and a company willing to take chances, Patrick soon moved to a permanent position with the company as a Project Coordinator. A year later he made the switch into production and is now working as a Production Coordinator for titles in development.
When not working for Aspyr, Patrick's usually meeting anyone from the industry who'll talk/drink with him... He's a habitual networker inside the industry and is almost always at GDC, E3, AGC, and any of the others he can get the time and money to attend.
