Paul CarruthersDeveloper BIO
After graduating in Pure Mathematics from Warwick University and having spent 3 years researching for an M.Phil in Mathematics Education at Loughborough University, Paul co-founded
Astral Software in 1987. Between then and 1992 Astral developed several original Atari ST and Amiga games including
Archipelagos and
Resolution 101. He then moved to freelance programming and spent most of the next 4 years doing freelance projects for
Probe Software including
Terminator 2 and
Mortal Kombat. In 1998 he established
Anthill studios and worked as Managing Director.
Anthill developed
Archipelagos 2000 and
Rat Attack for PC before the company was absorbed into
Climax in 2000 where Paul has continued as MD.
