Stephen DinehartDeveloper BIO
Stephen Dinehart is a writer, designer, and acclaimed game storyteller. He currently works for the independent game developer
Day 1 Studios in the role of Narrative Designer and Lead Writer, the company's first. In recent years Stephen has been forging a path in narrative driven game development in hopes of helping the industry as a whole embrace AAA storytelling techniques.
His list of credits spans genres and roles having worked in the industry as a producer, writer, designer, QA tester and developer. He is an avid storyteller, gamer, and artist. He was final Nominee for “Best Writing for a Game Production” for
Company of Heroes – Opposing Fronts at the 2nd Annual Canadian Awards for the Electronic and Animated Arts (2007), and the game won “Nokia Award for Outstanding Innovation in Gaming.”
Mr. Dinehart received his MFA in Interactive Media from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in 2006, and his BFA in Digital Media from the College for Creative Studies (Detroit) in 2001.
