Developer Biography

Jonathan vd Wijngaarden is a composer who has worked on videogame titles such as Tom Clancy's EndWar Online, Terraria: Otherworld, < moby game="The Settlers Online">The Settlers Online< /moby>, Shards of War and War Commander: Rogue Assault.

Hooked on videogames ever since his father brought home their first personal computer to the household, Jonathan dove deeper into music creation as a long time wish to work in the Games Industry grew stronger. At the age of 16, being a huge Command & Conquer fan, he contacted Frank Klepacki, composer at Westwood Studios at the time, who further acknowledged Jonathan’s potential to realize his dream, by then taking him on as his apprentice, encouraging him to pursue the goal of becoming an industry professional. After years of hard work and learning all aspects of the trade, Jonathan turned his long time dream into an official full-time job as composer for various videogame franchises.

After starting at Coded Illusions (2004-2008) and later Playlogic Game Factory (2008-2010) Jonathan continued his career as freelance composer and with his company 'MUSICBYJONATHAN' has worked for clients such as Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, DisneyXD. BigPoint and KixEye.
