Developer Biography

Jonathan vd Wijngaarden is a videogame composer and sound designer and has worked for Coded Illusions B.v., Vertigo Games B.v., Playlogic Game Factory and SCEE.

Apart from having worked for these game development companies, Jonathan also runs his audio production company MUSICBYJONATHAN, which has provided music and/or sound for Electronic Arts, Autumn Moon Entertainment, Silverfit B.v. and Vertigo Games B.v.

From MUSICBYJONATHAN.com (official website):

"Jonathan vd Wijngaarden was hooked on videogames ever since his father brought home their first personal computer to the household. It wasn’t long before Jonathan quickly got into modifying existing games, and ended up first creating game inspired music in ImpulseTracker format.

As he dove deeper into music creation, a long time wish to work in the Games Industry grew stronger.

At the age of 16, being a huge Command & Conquer fan, he contacted Frank Klepacki, composer at Westwood Studios at the time, who further acknowledged Jonathan’s potential to realize his dream, by then taking him on as his apprentice, encouraging him to pursue the goal of becoming an industry professional. After years of hard work and learning all aspects of the trade, Jonathan turned his long time dream into an official full-time job as Composer and Sound Designer for various videogame projects."
