Anthony Jacobson is a Founder of
Spicy Horse Games and serves as its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Producer to all film and interactive projects. His current projects include the future Gametap PC title "American McGee presents: Grimm" as well as several unannounced titles. Anthony is responsible for executing all aspects of business development and corporate strategy to maximize revenue streams associated with all of Spicy Horse’s intellectual properties across a broad range of product and media categories.
Most recently, Anthony was the Chief Executive Officer of
TMIEC which was among the first independent game production companies. He founded TMIEC with
American McGee, and together, they produced several games including "
Scrapland" and "
Bad Day LA."
Prior to TMIEC, Anthony was a partner in
Carbon6 where he had similar responsibilities as he did at TMIEC. At Carbon6, among other things, Anthony Associate Produced "
Spy Kids: Challenger" for the GBA and serves as Executive Producer on "
American McGee’s Oz", which is a video game, toy line, full length novel, paper RPG, and soon to be motion picture. Anthony has been responsible for the structuring all the intellectual property deals surrounding these titles and others, including a trilogy of films for The Walt Disney Company to be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films for which Anthony will serve as an Executive Producer.
Anthony has an extensive network of executive level contacts within game publishers and developers, film and television studios and production companies, consumer product licensees, media attorneys and accountants, venture capital firms, private equity, and angel investors, and Hollywood talent agencies, and has contributed to successful ventures with a variety of industry leading companies, ranging from Electronic Arts and MTV Games, to Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Warner Bros. and The Walt Disney Company.
Anthony is the former Director of Business Development and Director of Film and Television Development at Creative Planet, a company that created software and database products for the motion picture and television industries. There, Anthony was responsible for the strategic planning and development of film and television products. Anthony joined Creative Planet after successfully incubating and selling Goodstory.com, the online literary marketplace, to Creative Planet. As President of Goodstory.com, Anthony was responsible for all aspects of product and business development, marketing, sales and public relations.
Prior to co-founding Goodstory.com in partnership with , a New York City based media services and incubator company, Anthony worked in the Motion Picture Department of the William Morris Agency. Previously, Anthony was with Sony Pictures Classics where he held positions in both the distribution and acquisitions departments. Anthony holds a B.A. from the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Pennsylvania.
