Gerald BroasDeveloper BIO
Trained both traditionally and 3D, Gerald's strength lies in his traditional animation (2D). Having gotten his official start as a 2D/3D intern in DJ Qbert's Wave Twisters the Movie, the tricks and on the job skills he learned on the project proved essential in his growth process as he transitioned into video game animation. During this transition he took miscellaneous contract gigs doing short character animations for dotcom companies, as well as (QA) video game testing. Then he landed his first job as an Animator at
The Learning Company in Fremont, CA. Since then, Gerald has worked for several video game development studios holding positions as a UI Artist, QA Tester, 2D Animator, Texture Map Artist, and 3D Character Animator.
Gerald was most recently working at
Backbone Entertainment in Emeryville, CA as an Artist from August 2005 to November 2008. Gerald has since then switched gears, and migrated over to iPhone Game Development where he is currently enjoying his growth spurt.
