Developer Biography

Francisco Javier Espejo Gargallo, born in 1979, he’s commonly known as Xavi “Tanasten” Espejo on the game industry. He started playing games at the age of 3 and began his interest on game development at the age of 5, when he was used to copy programs written on a Spanish magazine for the Spectrum. Since then, making games had been always his dream.

He began his game development career in 2004, when he joined Microjocs (now Digital Chocolate Barcelona) as game tester, where he promoted to QA Manager and worked on popular IP like Lord of the Rings, Tetris, Toca Racing, Club Football, LMA Manager and Astro 3003, amongst a long list of other games.

On 2007, he joined Zed Games studio, where he expanded its game development background developing games for PC, flash, iPhone, and Android, with both classic games and online games.

On January 2009, he was promoted to Zed’s Product & Innovation studio as QA Manager, where he developed famous games like Planet 51 Online and Commandos, amongst other techie products quite popular in Spain, like La Gran Oportunidad.

Up to date, he has released more than 100 games worldwide.
