Jed WeintrobDeveloper BIO
Jed Weintrob is an accomplished feature film producer, interactive media creator and theatre director. A native New Yorker, Jed has always combined his dynamic vision and expertise in digital technologies with his passion for storytelling.
A pioneer in the early years of interactive entertainment, he founded and ran the video game and Internet divisions of
MPCA and
Orion. He was actively involved in the negotiations during
MGM's purchase of Orion in 1997.
He is an honors graduate of the filmmaking program at Harvard University, where he met writing partner
Andrew Osborne and producer Tanya Selvaratnam.
Jed spent a year backpacking and bicycling around the world while developing the story ideas for his newest feature film,
On_Line, which he co-produced with long-time friend and colleague
Richard Titus.
On-Line premiered at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, won best picture at the Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose, and is slated for theatrical release late spring of 2003.
