Terry Lavender is a Vancouver-based game designer and researcher. His field of interest is social advocacy games. A Master's student at Simon Fraser University's School of Interactive Arts and Technology, he is best known as the creator of Homeless: It's No Game. He has also created games for the Save St. Paul's Hospital Coalition and for the Gregor Robertson mayoralty campaign in Vancouver.
In his other life, he is a community activist, with an interest in affordable housing issues, as well as the communications manager at Simon Fraser University's Surrey campus.
