Having worked in the industry since 1999, Josh Scanlan has been at Firaxis since 2001, where he was Systems Coordinator in 2003 and is the company's solitary IT Specialist in 2006.

He attended St. Mary's College of Maryland where he studied computer science and philosophy, departing slightly before graduation to be a quality assurance tester at Absolute Quality Inc. He has since completed his studies, and holds a B.A. degree in Computer Science.
