James got his start at Volition Inc. in 2006. He worked as an Environmental Quality Assurance Tester on Saints Row and as an Interface tester on WWE: Smackdown vs Raw 2007.
He took a short break to complete his B.A. in Philosophy and Applied Psychology at The University of Illinois at Chicago before again focusing his attention on game development by enrolling in the Masters of Interactive Technology program at The Guildhall at SMU.
Upon graduation, James took a design position at Id Software in Richardson, TX where he worked on Rage and Doom 4. After two years at Id Software, James accepted a Level Design position at Irrational Games to work on BioShock: Infinite. James currently resides in Quincy, MA.
