Randy Angle is an autodidactic polymath entrepreneur with a passion for making games and toys. Randy combines his fun-loving spirit with a "git'r done" attitude to create a unique leadership style and a rapid iterative development methodology he calls "SMAFF". In a life-long career spanning more than over 80 games, Randy has worked on almost every platform and genre of games. He has lead successful teams with director or executive roles in game design, engineering, production, studio management, board adviser, mentor, and university professor.
Starting out as an Indie developer on Apple ][+ and later the Atari ST, Randy also made a number of table-top RPGs under the company he founded - Hoppsbusch.
In 1991 Randy started his professional career at Spectrum Holobyte working on various games including Star Trek: The Next Generation - Echoes From The Past.
In 1994 Randy was hired as the first employee at Northstar Studios - a premier Playstation developer.
In 1995 Randy worked with Smoking Car Productions on the Playstation and Saturn versions of the Last Express.
In 1997 Randy helped start the new San Francisco studio of Psynosis working on various games for PC and Playstation.
In 1999 Randy went to Stormfront Studios working on LEGO: MyStyles and Lord of the Rings The Two Towers.
In 2001 Randy co-founded Pronto Games and ran it as President and Creative Director for 8-years.
