Tetsuo Mizuno was been the president of Square since co-founder
Masafumi Miyamoto stepped down in 1992 until he was forced out of the company in 1998. He was basically the company's president during the golden-age era of RPGs. He has been credited as an executive producer for pretty much all of their games until his term expired.
After his no-competition clause expired, he went to form
AlphaDream in 2001. As the president of that company, he has been the producer of their games, and has maintained the company as a second party developer to Nintendo.
