Developer Biography

Julien Hamaide is an experienced programmer and technical director of Fishing Cactus. His main interest is sharing his accumulated knowledge with his team while learning more every day.

He started working at 10Tacle Studios Belgium in 2006, where he worked on David Douillet Judo. He then worked 2 years on Totems, an unreleased Xbox360 game. After the company went out of business, he decided to launch Fishing Cactus with Bruno Urbain. He worked on several iPhone games including Armor Games' :Shift:. In 2010, he leaded Shift Extended, a PSP minis version of Shift.

He contributed 5 articles to the Game Programming Gems series, 1 for AI Programming Wisdom 4 and Game Engine Gems 2. He also presented 2 lectures at the GDC 2008 and 2009. In his free time, he blog to the Mike Acton's #altdevblogaday initiative.
