Developer BIO

Lionel Rico started in the video-game industry in 1994 in the Ubi Soft QA department in Paris (Street Racer and Rayman for the PSX). He moved to a game designer position on sports and racing games (World Football, F1) the year after.

Then, in 1997, he accepted to guide 3rd party developers on game design (30 games, including Disney’s Dinosaur, All Star Tennis and Rayman GBA among them). Moving to Canada in 2000 at Ubi Soft Divertissements (Ubi Soft Montreal), he became Lead Game Designer on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (PS2), Batman: Vengeance (GBA), Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (GBA) and Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force (GBA). He is currently Lead Game Designer for the Ubisoft Barcelona (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, Monster 4x4 (Wii) and Cosmic Family (Wii)).
