Developer Biography

Michael Davidson started his career at Microprose in 1995 as a technical support representative. After surviving several layoffs resulting from Spectrum Holobyte's buyout, he was laid off in 1996. He came back to the same building (then owned by Spectrum Holobyte) in 1998 as a software tester. Soon after, Spectrum Holobyte changed its name to Microprose, and was bought out by Hasbro Interactive, which was (less than two years later) bought out by Infogrames--which now calls itself Atari. He gave up the interactive entertainment industry in 2001 after being the Certification Lead Tester on Civilization 3. Some day he might go back, should the industry ever stabilize. In the meantime, he enjoys playing drums and living life in South Carolina with his wife and two daughters.
