John Brooks began working in the industry for Ocean Software QA in 1996. Projects for Ocean included Super EF2000, TACTCOM, Tunnel B1 (Sega Saturn), Motor Mash, Max Power Racing (PSX), KKND2 (PSX), Guts 'n' Garters (PC), Last Rites (PC), F22 ADF (PC), F22 TAW and I-War. He also wrote the manual and performed QA for Viper (PSX).

In 1999 he became Senior QA engineer with Turbine Entertainment Software on the Microsoft published product Asheron's Call. After a year with the company he was promoted to Associate Producer and did much of the pre-production planning for Asheron's Call 2. Laid off in the Spring of 2001. John later became QA manager with Cyan Worlds for URU: Ages Beyond Myst.

John is now working as a Senior Producer for Destineer Studios in Plymouth, Minnesota.
