Developer Biography

Dorian Newcomb attended Pratt Institute where he studied painting, drawing, human anatomy, and 3D computer graphics. His first job was at Stanley Associates where he was able to produce artwork for Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Semper Fi, and Brute.

Dorian co-founded Scarecrow Games, an independent game development company, and worked on the demos of Wayfarer and Orbital. He has also generated isometric character animations for the Gryphon Tapestry, a massively multiplayer game produced by Imaginaria. Dorian developed real time 3D models for anti-terrorist software before joining the Firaxis Games art team in 2000.
