Greg Canessa

In May 2009 Blizzard confirmed that Greg Canessa had joined the company to work on the new version of its gaming service Battle.net. Prior to that, Greg Canessa was Vice President, video game platforms, at PopCap Games, since February 2007. Previously, he was General Manager of Microsoft's Xbox Live Arcade service, where he worked for 7 years. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, Mr. Canessa was VP of Online Marketing at Idealab, an incubator of early-stage technology firms. Previously, he served as a senior marketing executive at Vivendi Games for most of the 1990s, after beginning his professional career at Apple Computer as a games marketer and evangelist.
