Jason Franzman has been involved in J-E game translation since 1998 and has received translation credits for a number of projects. He approaches translation from an output-focused angle. That is to say, he seeks to write the most entertaining and natural sounding English possible. His ultimate goal is to produce English that is so good that players cannot tell it was translated in the first place. Of course, he makes every effort to stay faithful to the source Japanese. It is a delicate balancing act but a challenge he truly enjoys.
