Fiona KerrDeveloper BIO
After a long and distinguished career at ABC TV (Australia) where she worked as an editor, director and producer, Fiona Kerr entered the world of gaming. She worked at now defunct developers
Brilliant Interactive Ideas, where she honed her skills as a 3d modeller, animator and director before joining
Strategic Studies Group (SSG) in 2001. Working with the now legendary Ian Trout, Roger Keating and nebulous art director Alister Lockhart, she worked on the
Warlords series of real-time strategy games,
Reach for the Stars II and
Warlords 4 turn-based game. She was a character animator, modeller and texture artist and also worked as a team lead. She then fled to the UK to work as an online producer for BBC Worldwide Interactive Learning. You can read her article on women working in gaming in the book "Womenvision" edited by Lisa French.
Returning to Australia in 2006, she is now happily teaching 3d Animation to a new generation of gaming students while attempting a PhD, under her new name Fiona Chatteur.
