Carl MeyDeveloper BIO
Carl has developed video games since 1986 where he programmed for Lucasfilms Games on Maniac Mansion C64 and Apple ][e. He then worked at Epyx on California Games Apple][e, The Games Winter/Summer Edition, and the Atari Lynx then known as the "HANDY". When Epyx went bankrupt in '89 Carl went to EA where he wrote the technology for, and co-designed Road Rash. Other titles are Lakers Vs. Celtics Genesis, and PGA Tour Golf SNES. Carl then moved on to a Producer position at Sega of America. At Sega Carl produced NBA Action '95, Surf Ninjas the movie and video game, the never released Sega VR, and designed the achitecture for the 32X . After two years at Sega Carl accepted an offer from Williams/Bally, Midway in Chicago where he programmed and co-designed the original Crusin' USA coin-op arcade game. Carl decided to move back to California in '96 where he took a job as the Director of Technology at GameTek. In an attempt to save the failing company, he wrote Wheel of Fortune for the N64. Unfortunately GameTek failed and Carl went on to work for a small developer of Childrens titles called Presage. Presage was bought by Human Code and then by Sapient leaving Carl at a large .com in San Francisco. After the 750 person layoff Carl came to work for Namco and worked on PacMan World 2 for the PS2.
