Joining Origin in 1993 he served in key art roles for the groundbreaking Wing Commander space combat sims, culminating in Art Director positions for Silverheart and Wing Commander: Prophecy.

After several efforts involved with helping to build new game studios: Bootprint Entertainment and Skylab Entertainment, Mark has had several stints at various Austin game developers working in Senior/Lead Artist roles for AAA titles, including Retro Studios, Ion Storm, Electronic Arts and Wideload Games.
