Mark Vearrier

Developer BIO

Mark Vearrier received his B.F.A. in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Oregon in 1988.

He began his career as a production artist for early adventure games at Dynamix in Eugene and quickly rose to Lead Artist for the award winning and critically acclaimed Betrayal at Krondor.

Joining Origin in 1993 he served in key art roles for the groundbreaking Wing Commander space combat sims, culminating in Art Director positions for Silverheart and Wing Commander: Prophecy.

After several efforts involved with helping to build new game studios: Bootprint Entertainment and Skylab Entertainment, Mark has had several stints at various Austin game developers working in Senior/Lead Artist roles for AAA titles, including Retro Studios, Ion Storm, Electronic Arts and Wideload Games.

After serving as Art Director for a medical training simulation at BreakAway Games in association with the University of Texas A&M, he began at the start of 2006 helping out at KingsIsle Entertainment as a Lead Environment Artist.
