Developer Biography

David Lee Anderson is a science fiction and fantasy illustrator. He’s shown paintings at more than 440 science fiction convention art shows around the country and Canada since 1980 and has been the Artist Guest of Honor at twenty conventions, Toastmaster for two conventions and Fan Guest of Honor for one. He’s done work for TOR Books and BAEN Books, Tomorrow SF Magazine, Isaac Asimov’s SF Magazine, Mayfair Games, Bethesda Softworks, Galactic Empires, Yard Dog Press and independent publishers. He was President of the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists from 1990-92. He was an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City University teaching illustration from 1990-96, and taught comic illustration in 1994-1999 for adult classes, and comic art for Summer Youth Academy 1998-2002 at Moore-Norman Technology Center in Norman, Oklahoma. He's written stories, one of which is recently published in the story collection FLUSH FICTION:VOLUME ONE by Yard Dog Press, "Thoughts While Bleeding to Death", available at www.yarddogpress.com. He's been on hundreds of panels speaking about science fiction and fantasy illustration and other subjects. He's entertained people at SF conventions as an MC for costume contests, been the narrator for plays, played guitar and sang, and generally exhibited foolish behavior.
