Developer Biography

John Lee has been in the industry since 1995, starting in QA at Virgin Interactive Entertainment and moving on to design and eventually production.

As a QA tester, John worked on:

  • Powerplay
  • Black Dawn
  • Golden Nugget
  • Sports Car
  • Grid Runner
  • Virtual Pinball
  • Toonstruck
and countless others that John says he cannot recall.

And he has also done design work for:
  • Grand Slam Baseball
  • Nox
  • Noxquest (a game that has escaped game historians)
  • Red Alert 2
  • RA2: Yuri's Revenge
  • C&C:Generals
  • Generals: Zero Hour
  • Pearl Harbor
  • Neverwinter Nights 2

Throughout his career, John has actively fought against becoming a lead designer, losing this fight once only ("I'll let you guess which title that was", he tells us) and, "in a desperate move when the assignment appeared unavoidable yet again", in his own words, moved into production. John is currently a Producer with Obsidian Entertainment.
