Developer Biography

Joseph Brian Pape is currently Senior/Lead Level Layout Artist at Sony Bend. Previously, he was an Artist at EA Tiburon, Level Artist at Aramat Productions and Junior Artist at Magnet Interactive Studios. Before that he started in the industry working for Avalon Hill on Advanced Civilization.

He has worked on a total of 6 titles that have been published, one of them hit the 1 million mark (Madden NFL 2001), and another a critically acclaimed PSP game (Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror). Brian's in charge of the layout dept at Sony Bend studio, where he has been since 2001. While creating terrain for designers to play test scenarios, (short turn around times are needed here, the more iteration the better the end result), he also gets a chance to polish levels as well. His strengths are his speed, and dedication to quality.
