Cumron joined the games industry as an Artist/Animator in 1997 having previously worked as a freelance CG artist.

He has primarily been in roles involving Art Direction and Management, working for game development companies: Gremlin Graphics/Infogrames, Computer Artworks, Black Cactus, Kuju Entertainment

In 2007 he became the studio Art Director at Midway Newcastle, and when Midway went out of business in 2009 he led a group of senior staff from the studio to found the art production company Atomhawk Design Ltd. in 2009, which he is currently heading as studio director.
