James Podesta was born July 7, 1971 in Brisbane, Australia.
He completed honours in computer science and opted out of a PhD to work on Stargunner with Dave Pevreal, Leo Plaw and Craig Allsop, published by Apogee. Next he went on to work for Auran on Dark Reign: The Future of War after which he headed over to the UK to work for Codemasters on TOCA 2: Touring Car Challenge, and spent some time prototyping their PS2 engine. He finally returned to Brisbane to work for Krome Studios and is still there.
In 2008 he founded the company, Wretched Games, with Daniel Krenn which he worked on at night times and weekends. Wretched Games released 4 iPhone games on the App Store: Venger, Big Booty, Earth Vs Mars and Attack Force.
He's currently working on an RPG for the iPhone called MageLore, a project he started on the Amiga when he was 13 but abandoned.
