Jonathan Dean has been producing games since 1982, when he joined Atari in the UK. In addition he has worked for game publishers and game developers (Argonaut & Activision), has run his own studio (Crush!), and has also been a consultant. He moved to the USA in 1999 and worked for Kodiak Interactive Software as Vice President of Product Development for over 3 years and then for Midway as Vice President Product Development / VP Sports Business from March 2002 until October 2004.

In November 2004 Jon joined EA - Tiburon in Florida. Currently he is the Executive Producer; Head of Console/Handheld Products for Hasbro Business Unit at Electronic Arts.

"A highly organized and creative leader with more than 18 years experience in the entertainment software industry. Jon has held several senior roles in publishing and development companies, and has been involved in the creation of more than two hundred products, spanning almost every game genre and major hardware platform. He has an instinctive understanding of process and its application to the development of entertainment products.

Prior to joining Kodiak in January 1999, Jon was Managing Director of Crush!, a development company in England, where he conceived of the innovative on-line fantasy-sports series ‘Nation’. His earlier career highlights include General Manager, Argonaut Software, London – helped them to become a major force in game development and technology. Among the products to come to fruition under his tenure, was “Starfox” for Nintendo. Jon was Vice-President of Game Development, for Creative Insights, California. He has been a successful consultant, working with clients such as LucasArts, Microprose, Philips Media, Activision, Takara, Marjacq, Konix, Mindscape, The Disc Company, Attention To Detail, US Gold, System 3 and Eurocom. In the mid-eighties, Jon was European Software Development Manager, Activision, London – helped establish European PD and a return to profitability. Jon joined the industry in 1982 with Atari, London – Producer of Atarisoft titles and Product Manager for launch of the Atari ST and XE hardware platforms.

Jon is a co-founder of the Society of Software Authors, has written on trade matters for many journals, and an author of many web-sites."
