We should have an option to add mistyped names as "Incorrectly credited as *" in a separate section from AKAs, so that we know that Maha Subramanian was actually credited as Maha Submarine, in cases it has happened on other credits.
Currently, our guidelines state:
--- Q: A new developer had his name misspelled in the official manual for a game. What should be the name and what should be the AKA/nickname? A: If you know that the official listing of the person's name is misspelled or has a typo, then enter what you feel is the proper full name, and do not enter the misspelling as the AKA. We want accurate info on the site. ---

[/Q --end Fred VT wrote--] Porn Copper was adamantly against credit typos and I tend to agree. It gets messy real fast, especially due to the extensive variation of intentional typos. Plus, adding credit typos as AKAs does not signify which AKA goes to which game.
The only workaround I was able to think of is this example of credits.
