I found these rare educational science games for Windows 3.x that were not mentioned on various sites and put them on the Scratch Forums and the Full House Forums for preservation. (The sources are https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/135784/ http://www.full-house.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=122) It was a rare educational science game series developed by Keshet Orion and published by MagiKids Interactive from 1997 in Canada.

These were basically stripped down versions of Keshet Orion’s Mid-Day and Let there be Morning which teaches children all about shadows, directions, distance, light, and the weather. These games are designed for children ages 4 to 8.

There are four sections of each of the pages included in the game. The story gives the player a rough idea of the topic with a short animation. The Gig Screen allows the player to uncover surprises by clicking anywhere on the screen to make a hidden object come to life. The games are a review of the topic used in the story section. The last section is the Wiseman, which the player can choose a selection of explanations and listen to them. Along the way photographs are displayed in the Wiseman section of the game during an explanation.

On the back of the series’ packagings, the system requirements note that it requires an IBM/Compatible PC, 386+; 4+ MB RAM, 256 Color VGA, 5MB+ Hard Drive space, Mouse, Sound Blaster or compatible sound card, 2x or faster CD Rom drive, Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. (486 or faster with 8 MB RAM recommended)

Contributor’s Note: Volumes 1, 2, and 6 were based off of Keshet Orion’s Mid-day, while Volumes 3, 4, and 5 were based off of Keshet Orion’s Let there be Morning. Also, These games are in a 16-bit Windows 3.1 flavour rather than 32-bit for newer Windows computers (64-bit).
