View Mode: threaded | watch thread Our top contributor of the year 2009 and aspiring top contributor and approver of 2010, Joyvalley has reached 60,000 MobyPoints. Going through the entire database just to add missing ratings and descriptors was only the tip of the iceberg which gained him his most recent 10,000 points.Congratulations Joyvalley! Almost halfway at beating Sciere's score. ![]() vedder Wrote:

Now that's impressive. Another example of how there's plenty still left to document here! Congrats, Joyvalley! hats off from me, too. 60K is no way a small feat.
Congratulations, and thanks for the lightning-fast approvals!
Good job, dude; congratulations! =D
Congratulations!
Congratulations! Considering how he also approved most of my contributions in a very limited time frame one have to wonder how he manages to have a life outside of MobyGames.
The whole MobyGames community has to consider itself lucky to have a marvellous contributor like joyvalley in our midst! In just three years of active contributions he managed to become #6 - with this godspeed it is just a matter of time until the mighty Xoleras and Unicorn Lynx will fall. And who knows, in a few years probably even the invulnerable Sciere will sense joyvalley's breath in his neck! ![]() Patrick Bregger Wrote:

BTW what's with Xoleras, anyone? Didn't see him in a while. Big congrats to joyvalley !!I wonder what's next on his list of things to contribute? ![]() MZ per X Wrote:
Big congrats to joyvalley !! I wonder what's next on his list of things to contribute? It's again - like the last time - a complete "surf" thorugh the whole database, but this time not like before the ratings (where i missed the years before 1993 - because 1993-94 was the time when the most important institutions like the ESRB, the USK, ELSPA started their work), this time i have to go through almost all 50.000 games of MobyGames to add and correct tech-specs with the existing source of cover scans) - sometimes really frustrating (for example for platforms which only have 2 or 3 tech-specs, only a small amount of scans, and those often filled correctly long ago ... but often also platforms where it is possible to add 8 out of 10 games tech-specs/additions). After that i will return to my own private games collection, all my boxes finished, half of my keep cases and all of my media-only or media+manual-only games, that will bring at least 3 more months i expect .... and after that, hmm looks like i had to then the hardest job, adding hundreds of commercial games to the database from my collection that aren't part of Moby so far - don't really looking forward to this because of the english descriptions - not so much for the language problems, more than this because of the fact, to add descriptions for those games i'd never played before. But until this, a lot of water will run down the Moby seas ;) Good job, dude. Congratulations!
