View Mode: threaded | watch thread On 24th April 2001 MobyGames was still in its infancy, but it was the date when Unicorn Lynx, JazzOleg or most recently known as חד-קרן•山猫 joined the site. Through the years he has been on the forefront of everything Japanese, Chinese and RPG-related here, furiously expanding the site’s reach from a Western approach to the hidden secrets of the East, carefully documenting titles in languages most of us know nothing about, but vital as the roots of many modern games. Today, he just broke 100,000 points, a token of his dedication the past nine years.
Many of you know him well for his extensive reviews cited in publications, or articles such as Leveling Down: The Story of Hentai RPGs or The World of Asian RPGs.Many of you also got to know him as very outspoken, passionate and political in the forums, putting so much energy in his beliefs and arguments that he sometimes just had to take a break after a hefty discussion. And even though few of us have met him in person, he feels close and we can all conjure up a vivid image of him, sharing his passion as a talented jazz pianist as well as the many ups and downs in his personal life we got to know about. If MobyGames is like a little sister you constantly reproach for not growing up, you can also be glad to have raised her to what she is now, and Unicorn’s digital footprint of years of hard work was a defining influence. Oleg, whatever happens here in the near future, we stand back in awe and salute you. Big congratulations to you, Oleg! =D
Congratz, Oleg - well done!
Incredible, Oleg! One can only admire the dedication you put into this site the last nine years.
Congratulations! A feat like this is not easily achieved and takes a lot of dedication. I couldn't imagine a MobyGames without you and that alone says a lot.
Nine years, wow. Such amazing work, effort, and dedication. Congrats on a not easily achieved milestone!
Kudos to one of the most respectable MG contributors. I'll be frank: in its current form, this site isn't half-worthy of the huge amount of work you have input into it over the years. I know I've given up a long time ago :) Let's pray for the best in 2011.
*scratches head*Half of those points consist of mini-skirted or tentacle related games. :) Sciere Wrote:

I also want to congratulate the most International person I've ever met. I'm so proud that people may reach such heights in national, cultural, digital, intellectual, and spiritual blending as Oleg does. Congrats, pal!!! Поздравляю, дружище!!! :-) Thank you, thank you, guys! What can I say... I'm so touched by your kind words!.. But I'd also like to use this opportunity to tell you: let's support MobyGames all together, especially in these turbulent times when its future is unknown and when it needs us most! This is a site we are creating, and that means more to me than all the obvious problems it has. No site is perfect; and a site with such a gigantic scope like MobyGames can never become perfect! We should try and change and improve what we can, but in the long run, accepting it is what matters. Loving it despite its flaws. What unites us all here? Of course, love to video games! And what can beat the satisfaction of seeing our favorite game documented here on MobyGames, with exact release info, beautiful description, high-resolution covers, interesting screenshots, complete credits, and perhaps a nice review or two? Especially if all this information is about a rare gem no one has heard about? Especially if all this information was submitted by you? More than nine years ago, I chose MobyGames as the site I want to contribute to. I didn't choose it because it was the most complete documentation site (at that time, it only documented 3 or 4 platforms!). I chose it because it had the greatest potential. And it still has. This site is built by us. Piece by piece, brick by brick. It became what it is now thanks to our collective effort. And if we care for games and this site - let's keep going! ![]() ![]() Oleg, you are truly a man among men. Chapeau bas, gentlemen!
Congratulations and thanks for the amazing work you've done (and you're doing) for this website.

Искренне поздравляю от всего сердца. Oleg, your love of MobyGames seems truly passionate and unconditional, just like a father-child relationship.Hat off to your highly interesting work. Oh man, what can I say. You've always been an inspiration for all of us (at least for me), you brought several contributors to this site due to your wonderful reviews, your job in populating the database is amazing and your participation in the forums is aways provocative and entertaining. Sciere described you very well, and it really feels like we know you in person. You really are transparent, a real person in this world of fakes. Thank you for your presence here, Oleg, and keep up the good work.
Awesome work, congratulations!
Mucho kudos, Unicorn.
Great job Oleg!
Impressive!, thanks for all the contributions.
Nicely put, Sciere, and nicely done, Oleg!
