We usually announce contribution point milestones for notable members, but recently we've passed an even more important one.
MobyGames database now catalogues 60 000 games. Last time we've celebrated something like this was on the onset of 2010, since that day we have 10 000 more.
Naysayers would point out that this only means about 34 000 unique entries, 2 600 of them being compilations, subtract at least few hundred more for special editions. Nevertheless, the numbers are still impressive. All of this wouldn't be possible without dedicated contributors, who donate their time and painstaking research for free (madmen, I say!).
Natural results of hard work... next 60,000 coming! =)
It's sad that probably most of those games are terrible.
Sturgeon's law! That said, this work can help us to more reliably unearth the 10% that floats.
*cough cough* browser games
Ugh, 60k games now?! I'll never catch up! :p
