I got a random email from a friend at EA. I guess EA put up a not-well-publicized website for a new game with no title today:
Project Gray Company What exactly is this?
The art is soooo Lord of the rings. I hope they have a license or it's kind of a rip-off. Well, actually I don't really care. :o)
Nice site design though.
Project Gray Company is quite an interesting project because when I had a little chit chat with a friend of mine at EA recently, it sounded like EA was really interested in creating something community driven and influenced by the fans - which would be great.
According to what I know Project Gray Company will be a single player RPG with an "open world"-concept. What's that supposed to mean? Well, from all I know, it's supposed to be a very, VERY, vivid world with lots of possible interactions with both, characters and eco system which is quite modular and expandable, but that's everything I got told.. I think they'll release more information on E3 and I'm quite eager to talk to some people there if I make it to E3. /edit just to clarify
Totally LoTHR. I also happen to know *kinda* what he is working on. Lo and behold there is his smiling mug in the photos of all the team members.
The online game with a vivid world seems very interesting... but if it turns out to be another LotR game, for me it will be cool too. Too much of a good thing is never a bad thing, as they say... and I *still* dig all JRR Tolkien related stuff.Cheers, let's just hope that the game in the works whatever it is has interesting plot / good gameplay. Looks interesting. I've posted a some there to maybe give them ideas of what to do to make it even better. If it's Tolkein-related, that's fine. EA has all those licenses anyhow, so it probably is. I just hope it's done well.
