IGN is reporting that a video Halo 3 will be unveiled at E3. While this is hardly exciting I do personally believe Microsoft will release Halo 3 for Xbox 360 on or around the Sony PS3 launch. Nothing steals thunder than releasing a killer game the same day as launch. Of course this is entirely speculation and based on zero fact.

Meh. I never played the first one, I've never played the second one, and I will certainly never lay hands on the third one at the price the 360's and their games are going. I never actually enjoyed playing any of them at all in fact. I even have a bit of hatred towards the second one for ruining it.

I think Microsoft has realized that with the Wii's name change and it being playable with Red Steel, the Wii will probably be the center attraction at this year's E3, and I think they're trying to take some of it back for the 360. Of course, this is just from a gamer's perspective and guess. It just seems to early to release screenshots and there's really no reason for it, plus they announced this late. It also coincides with the news announcement of Red Steel and the "Wii", so it really all seems to add up.

While I think the release of halo 3 around the ps3 launch would be nice... I don't think they'll do it.

My guess is not only the game not done - but they don't wanna screw Epic over by releaseing Halo 3 against Gears of War (considering that is supposed to come out in novemeber). By my best guess you'd see Halo 3 relatively early next year (my original thought was along with the movie - but consdering there is no director and they'd probally need to be shooting now to make the summer, I get the feeling the movie won't make summer of next year either...)

I don't think they are going to unveil anything Halo 3 related beyond a "3" in Halo font with the monk-style music playing in the background. Microsoft Game Studios has invested way too much time and money in Gears of War to let a similar property that they own overshadow it at e3. I also think it is highly unlikely Halo 3 will be available at PS3 launch, although that would be a blessing for Sony, which is going to have huge supply problems and is facing a fiasco similar to the Xbox 360 launch.

IMHO I seriously think the Halo crze died outa while ago. Back then it was the game to own. I feel like the hype has really dyed down for me.

Then again, I could be very wrong, people have been waiting for this one for a while.

Does anybody else feel the same way?
