An update to a previously reported story, Ferrago is reporting that universally reviled director of such terrible video game movies as House of the Dead and Alone in the Dark has gone ahead with what is widely considered a PR stunt and fought four of his critics in the boxing ring.
"If you make a zombie movie like House of the Dead, what are they expecting? Schindler's List?", Boll was quoted as saying.
By all accounts Boll won each of the four bouts. One of the reviewers did however get a few blows to Boll's face in, calling the attack "revenge for the travesty that was the BloodRayne film", according to Ferrago. A video of the Lowtax v Boll fight has been posted to YouTube.
I appreciate the weirdness that is Uwe Boll even if his movies are complete crap. Somewhere deep inside I feel that beating up Internet movie critics and making movies is somehow "Living the Dream".
His movies might be rubbish, but I respect the man. He usually makes sense in his interviews and doesn't seem the lunatic the retards of SA and other websites would like him to be.
Internet nerds should realize that only a minimal fraction of games actually have story potential suitable for even something as low as a straight-to-video, and if anyone thinks otherwise, it's likely they also rate The Fast and The Furious as the defining storytelling moment of this decade. So there.
And someone should do somtehing about the subject limit.
Other people have commented on how he seems to ignore fight requests from those who might give him a challenge. Look at the size difference.
I said this before and I'll say it again: Uwe Boll is the new John Romero, and what he needed was a good Erik Wolpaw, which obviously the industry is sorely lacking.
And Lowtax is the stupidest person alive for following through with this stupidity ¬¬
