The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that despite falling hardware costs Microsoft will continue to wait before cutting the price on the Xbox 360.
"In contrast, Microsoft reduced the price of the original Xbox by $100 six months after its debut. But this time around, the situation is different. In addition to the PS3's price difference, the Xbox 360 has a yearlong head start." Even though the price has remained steady at $399 for a Pro system Microsoft is toying around with various bundles giving gamers new to the system additional incentive to buy. Has Sony's missteps with the PS3 meant that gamers are paying a higher price for the X360 than expected at this time of year? Would Microsoft have lowered the price is Sony turned out to be a real threat? I wasn't expecting a price drop, but sme sort of bundle or larger hard drive would be nice.
Everything can change once xmas rears its ugly head...
