View Mode: threaded | watch thread On Friday, 3D Realms posted the first Duke Nukem Forever screenshot in quite a while on Gamasutra's job listings page for 3D Realms. 3D Realms president George Broussard later confirmed on the 3D Realms and Shacknews forums that the screenshot was indeed an in-game shot of Duke Nukem Forever. The release date of Duke Nukem Forever is still "When It's Done", but 3D Realms says that they'll release more screenshots of Duke Nukem Forever soon. Hell, by the time they release this game the apocalypse will already be upon us and we won't need it.
I kinda want to see how long they can drag this thing out yet still release the game...by this point in time they've gotta have the world record set for longest development time, now the longer it takes the more unlikely that record will ever be broken...
I think that when it comes out, it will sell huge simply for the publicity it's had while it was in development. It will be cool to see gamer and critic reactions when it does come out though. ![]() Matt Neuteboom Wrote:

I dunno. That didn't help John Romero and Daikatana. Haven't we had like 4 or 5 DNF threads already? :SFoxhack Wrote:

Daikatana was a pretty crappy game when it came out, so that basically turned it into a laughingstock on account of the millions Eidos had spent hyping it. If DNF is unbelievably mind-blowingly good, the chances are high that everyone will simply forget that it was in development for so long. ![]() Maw Wrote:

No, it wasn't. At least I didn't think it was. Oh well, everybody has opinions. That's a photo of an action figure. It was presumably a joke.

That might look like an action figure, but it's not. None of the Duke Nukem action figures have that facial expression, and it doesn't have any screws or anything that suggests that it's an action figure. ![]() Spartan_234 Wrote:

Duke Nukem Forever is (in my humble opinion) never going to happen. "That's a photo of an action figure. It was presumably a joke."The image is so tiny it's hard to tell...but yes I guess it does look like an action figure now that you mention it. I sadly cannot imagine how it won't disappoint. I'm still excited about the game but really what could they pull out of a hat that we don't expect? It's been in the works so long that any idea they have/had has probably been implemented into a game that came out recently. I just hope they hurry up and make a new Commander Keen game.
