View Mode: threaded | watch thread So it's been awhile since we had our last update to the site. Things have been pretty busy and we wanted to add a bunch of stuff at once. But we've decided to push some things that have been done for awhile to let you know we're still plugging away. Most notable is the ability to pull your submitted items back from submission to edit as needed. Check out the other changes in the changelog.
Ah, good news! Cool guys, thanks for releasing these features now.

Wonderful! Good work to all involved. I wanted to go to bed early tonight, but no such luck, it seems. However, here's a small bug report for you: when pulling featured games, the "featured platforms" reverse values (every unchecked platform is checked and vice-versa). Great job. Hmm, not really sure what that was about, but it's sort of a non issue now since there are no longer platforms to check when adding featured games. This was something that's been on the list to remove for ages, since the information wasn't used. Yes, the ability to work on your pending items is a great addition. I'm still waiting for the game group browser... :-( ![]() YID YANG Wrote:

I'll second that... Also, I assume Vista will be added as platform any day now also...Supreme Commander is already out as a "Game For Windows" which takes advantage of Vista features. And fixing the search so an exact match is listed first instead of at end of search results would be nice as often I have to click to view whole list if more than 10 results. Thanks. Why would you assume that? It's a software platform, and we're notoriously dodgy on accounting for those here 8) Heh, in fact it will be probably added as another tech spec, just like Windows XP SP2, for instance.
And it actually already is, check Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
(Edited by Sciere Re: Small but big update added Sciere Indeed, I wanted to add it too, but I didn't know Vista was already available as a tech spec.
I don't understand then why DOS, Windows 3.x and Windows are separate platforms and not Vista?

Poor planning on my part in the early days. Great, I had good use of the "pull" feature only minutes after it was added.

Me too, with some GBA credits. So did I with a duplicate trivia item.
Another small update. Some improvements to uploading credits images and submitting mobyanks. Hopefully I'll be able to keep pushing out some more pending changes in the next few days.

YES! Zip files for credits!!!! :-D The credits resolving javascript doesn't seem to work on Safari.
Hmm, i'll look into this. Do you have any more information an what you were trying?
Hey Brian, does credit submission support uploading files that are NOT image files?I've got a few games that store their credits in text or HTML files, so maybe zipping them and uploading them for reference could be of help. :)
Great updates. i love 'em.
but, what about restricting Most Wanted to specific have list item instead of all have lists? that's all i am miss from Most Wanted feature (i also have made a request about it earlier). (Edited by tarmo888 (5317), Mar 10, 2007) Re: Small but big update added tarmo888 (5317), Mar 10, 2007
also, mobygames has Search for Firefox(http://www.mobygames.com/info/searchbutton), but no OpenSearch support (for IE7 & Firefox 2)
so, i watched source and made some modifications. do add OpenSearch support, you'll need to replace addEngine function with: function addEngine(name,ext,cat) { try { window.external.AddSearchProvider("http://www.mobygames.com/images/"+name+".xml"); } catch(eX) { if ((typeof window.sidebar == "object") && (typeof window.sidebar.addSearchEngine == "function")) { window.sidebar.addSearchEngine( //cat="Web"; //cat=prompt("In what category should this engine be installed?","Web") "http://www.mobygames.com/images/"+name+".src", "http://www.mobygames.com/images/"+name+"."+ext, name, cat ); } else { errorMsg(name,ext,cat); } } } mobygames-src.xml file should look like this: http://tarmo888.dyn.ee/mobygames-src.xml and headers (for every page) need a line like this: http://tarmo888.dyn.ee/moby-header.txt ![]() tarmo888 Wrote:

That is really cool! Well done! (Edited by tarmo888 (5317), Mar 22, 2007) Re: Small but big update added tarmo888 (5317), Mar 22, 2007
thanks MobyGames for the Most Wanted feature added
Suggestion for the next update: could you had a Comments/Description field in the playlist (just like in the system list)?

I like this idea, it's probably already planned anyway, right? I'd also suggest to change the layout of the game browser. I think year, genre, platform and perhaps company should come before "sports-themes". And how about renaming "non-sports themes" to just "themes" and put them above "sport-themes". I really don't like how the first thing that shows up in the game browser is "sports-themes" Nice update, btw. I could finally pull my "United Microwave Industries" company contribution, (correct name is United Microware Industries...). ![]() Belboz Wrote:

Wow! That was fast! Thanks guys! It was an easy one, and I just happened to be typing in the right place at the right time :)
Hey Brian, did you see the suggestion I made regarding credit submissions? It's a bit further up in this thread.
