The joke would've been more effective, if you'd waited until tomorrow with the "April fools" notification :P.

The forth time I was fooled today. Shame on me!

Personally, I was not amused.

Neither was I. Something like "due to funding problems MobyGames will make part of the contents only available to subscribers ($5/month)" would have been funnier.

Or even the old and tried "MG has been sold to X" (X = insert any nasty conglomerate).

Just by the length of the news post, I already knew that something like "only kidding" or "april fools" would be written at the bottom. Nice try though.

If anything, I feel sorry for all the users who have 1000+ points and actually believed this at first. Your hearts must have nearly exploded.
