Daily Gaming News is reporting that the forward thinking and progressive Kansas Board of Education has banned all things Pokemon.

"The Kansas Board of Education approved a controversial measure yesterday that will ban all Pokemon video games, trading cards, and related merchandise because of the franchise’s blatant promotion of evolution."

When I first read this I actually felt more sorry than angry.

Well the best clue is that "seriously satirical" phrase in the page title :-) Otherwise, it would have fooled me, for sure!

Hmm, should have spent more than 30 seconds to skim it. I thought it was just another case where reality beats satire, oh well.

You can't really tell reality from satire these days. When I first read about the Muslims' reactions to the Muhammad cartoons in Denmark I also thought it was satire.
