I am sure we all know that there are a lot of people in the China. Cellular News is reporting that China Mobile, China's largest mobile operator, has announced a subscriber base of 301 million. Yup, that's more than the entire population in US.

However subscribers in China pay about 80% less than their American counter parts. While the market is huge the per capita income in China is US$1,700 compared to US$44,000 in the United States.
