View Mode: threaded | watch thread Your Mac will soon be able to download your music and movies to your PS3.
And not just download, but do things like showing your iTunes album art and stream an iPhoto slideshow to your shiny big HDTV.
I suppose that might be useful, though I'm not sure why one would want to acquire an $800 computer plus a $400 game system in order to watch a slideshow. On a $500-$2000 television, no less.
Of course if one looks to applications that aren't exclusively MORAL~!, then I suppose this will make it somewhat easier for Mac users to transfer over bootleg movies and music files onto their Playstation. Which means that the movie studios and the music industry are going to flip out about this when they figure everything out. BTW, do you have a link to the source article? I would expect something like that to be absolutely filled with DRM locks. So yeah, a gazillion dollars for iLife on your TV. :P
