View Mode: threaded | watch thread I'm trying to finish my first set of credits, and I've hit a snag. I need to merge two credit groupings. I followed the instructions found on this thread to ungroup the credits. However, when I try to merge them them into the destination group, I get a "could not be moved because a group was not selected." error, even though a destination group has been selected. Later on, I find this thread which suggests it's an ancient bug.Has this been fixed? Is there any workaround? Would deleting all my groupings, recreating them, and then moving the ungrouped credits work? I'm exceptionally frustrated as I've spent several hours entering these. Between referencing the style guide, trying to learn the role categories, deciphering the completely lack of organizational typography in the original credit listing, I probably couldn't have picked a worse set of credits to start with. If I need to delete the offending credits/groups and start over, I'm sad to admit, I'll probably just abandon the entire submission and stick to scanning covers. (Edited by Sciere Re: Bug in Merging Credit Groups? Sciere It's a stupid bug and it's completely inexcusable that it hasn't been fixed yet after all these years. There is no workaround, for the loose names (I see there are about 30 or so) you need to enter a new group and re-enter them there, then deleting the loose ones afterwards. Entering a complex listing usually requires scanning the whole credits structure before inputting them to see how the groups will/should turn out.
Sigh. I was afraid of that. I really tried my best to get the structure down first. A company name that looked like it was typeset as a category ended up just being an outsourcing company for testing (and therefore part of the testers immediately prior). Thanks for the confirmation.
