Can these be disabled for games designated as freeware in tech specs? It's unlikely a freeware title will be up for sale on ebay or amazon 8)

This is a good idea. Seems some open source developers are concerned with this, since sometimes other companies 'forget' to give them credit for their work and just re-brand it.
